Commuting to and from UiTM Shah Alam (UPDATED)

I think the biggest benefit of studying in UiTM Shah Alam is its accessibility. If you are planning to come to the campus or go back to your hometown from Shah Alam, here are several ways on going out and about the campus to the KL city centre and major transportation hubs.

1. Light Rail Trains (LRT)

The KTM Padang Jawa is the nearest train station from the campus, only 5 minutes away through the Section 7 entrance. You can reach there by the SA04 Selangorku Free bus or by Grab. Average price for one-way fare would be around RM7+.

You can also go to KTM Shah Alam station if you are exiting from the Section 2 entrance. Take the SA01 Selangorku Free bus from the Section 2 bus hub right across the open air food court.

You can reach KL Sentral from these stations or you can change to the Kelana Jaya line at the Subang Jaya station. From the Subang Jaya station, you can go to the Subang airport by its Skypark Link.

As you reach KL Sentral, then you have many options to go either the KLIA/KLIA2 airport by ERL or by bus. If you are northbound, you can take the ETS from here. You can also go to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) bus hub in Bandar Tasik Selatan from this station by ERL or by interchanging stations from the Kelana Jaya Line or the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang line to the Sri Petaling line.

The average train fare from Shah Alam to KL Sentral would roughly cost you around RM5+.

2.  Bus

The second method of commuting to KL is by bus. Take the T750 Rapid KL bus or the D campus bus from inside the campus and make a stop at the Section 2 bus hub. Take the 750 Rapid KL bus to go to KL Sentral. The bus journey would roughly take around 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on the traffic and the bus fare is around RM 2.50.The stop would be at the Nu Sentral entrance which is connected to KL Sentral. Or you can just wait until it reaches its final destination which is the Pasar Seni Station. This station is part of the Kelana Jaya line and the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang line is just right beside it.

I would advise you to have a Touch 'n Go card and download the SITS app to ease your journey.
(UPDATE: The bus lines are now going cashless so you must have a Touch 'n Go to board the bus.)
